ONLINE ADVOCACY COORDINATOR – For ACLU of Florida in Miami. Manage the ACLU of Florida’s online communications and advocacy program. Work in concert with our legal, legislative, development, and regional office staff and report directly to the Director of Communications. Support in content creation and maintenance of our websites. Advance the ACLU of Florida’s social media/networking presence. Act as primary internal contact for Convio e-communication platform, including building pages, action alerts, creating assets using publishing tools, running reports, building and testing e-mails, and other Convio-related tasks. Assist in creation and management of online initiatives as a tool for activists to advance ACLU of Florida’s program goals, including developing content for action alerts, the ACLU e-newsletter, the ACLU newsletter The Torch, advocacy and fundraising communications, both online and offline. Work across ACLU departments and projects to execute tactics for mobilization of members and outreach programs. Assist with media outreach. Identify and find solutions for internal technology problems and needs related to carrying out the ACLU’s mission online. Requires bachelor’s degree and 3 years professional experience with online media advocacy and outreach (preferably with an advocacy-oriented, non-profit organization) and excellent computer and Internet skills including MS Office, HTML, ColdFusion, Convio or GetActive, and Adobe graphics programs. Must have excellent verbal, writing, and research skills and a profound and well-articulated commitment to civil liberties and the mission of the American Civil Liberties Union. Must have effective and proven team process and project management experience and a keen eye for design, page layout, and general presentation. Preference for Spanish- or Creole-speaking candidates. PRINT PRODUCTION COORDINATOR – For Sandow Media in Boca Raton, publishers of LUXE, NewBeauty, Worth, and Watch Journal. Prepare and submit print orders to printer. Create and maintain the master schedules and production workflow for all magazines. Provide accurate printing specs to printer, including size, color, quantities, paper stock, bindery, shipping, paper, and postage information. Manage the shipping and distribution, including mail schedules to meet mail deadlines. Audit printer invoices and code for accounting. Estimate print projects as needed. Must have good communication skills, work well under pressure and be a power Excel user. SPECIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR – For the Boys & Girls Clubs in West Palm Beach. Assist with coordinating and executing all the special functions and fundraising events. Under the direction of the director of special events, oversee several smaller events and assist unit boards with local events. Assist with e-marketing (branding, website, e-invite). Solicit monetary donations and underwriting. Work with committees and other volunteers before, during, and after events. Assist with the coordinating of meetings, distributing information to the media, and design and set-up of event collateral material. Write news releases. Assist with the. Take photographs, prepare and work with event photographers on needed shots, coordinate follow-up. Coordinate thank-you letters to all non-cash donations (i.e. auction items). Bachelor's degree preferred in journalism, communications, or marketing/. Requires 3 years experience in special events, 1 year administrative experience, and strong computer skills and graphic design. Must be able to work weekends and evening hours.
