*ASSOCIATE PRODUCER – Part-time for WPLG-Channel 10 in Miami. Coordinate news pre-production. Assist with writing news copy, researching and updating news stories, logging network feeds, choosing interviews, rewriting reporter stories, and producing special segments. Coordinate tapes and feed room activities. May occasionally be called upon to field produce news segments. Prefer candidates with a college degree in journalism or a related field and experience in broadcast or print journalism. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. ASSIGNMENT EDITOR – Part-time for Univision in Miami. Plan and execute news coverage, direct crew, and write and post content, pictures, and video to the web and other platforms. Monitor news wires, scanners, and other sources of information to cover breaking news. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays as needed. Requires 1 year newsroom experience, bilingual English/Spanish, and basic computer skills (Avid iNews a plus). College degree preferred (students working towards degree will be considered). Requires bachelor's degree in a field related to the classes to be taught (with a master's degree in graphic design, advertising, marketing, or business), 5-plus years of design, advertising, marketing and/or business experience, and 0-2 years experience in instruction or formalized education process, preferably in a post-secondary or college institution. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Duties to include logging rushes whilst filming, helping the crew and contributors, general running duties, and being the supportive element for the camera crew attending to their every need. Great opportunity for somebody looking for a chance to work on an international production or wishing to get a first bite of their TV cake.
